About this Role
Design intuitive, user-centered interfaces and interactive prototypes that enhance the club’s internal tools and event platforms
Responsibilities
- Execute user research studies, including interviews, surveys, and usability tests to validate design concepts and identify areas for improvement
- Analyze data and user feedback to uncover pain points, needs, and behaviors
- Create intuitive and user-centered designs for the SFU Surge portal that are responsive across desktop, tablet, and mobile platforms
- Gather feedback from users and stakeholders to improve design solutions
- Create high-fidelity mockups, interactive prototypes, and UI specifications
Skills
- Completed IAT 238 , 235/339 , and 334
- Experience designing and prototyping interactive micro interactions and animations
- Comfortable using auto layout and creating interactive prototypes on Figma
- Familiarity and experience with motion graphics
- Familiarity and experience with html and css (javascript-nice to have)
Commitment
- Weekly commitment is 10 hrs/week
- Weekly department meeting attendance is expected
- If you cannot make a meeting, you need to communicate it to your Director at least 24 hours in advance
- Always read meeting minutes and communicate about your progress with action items
