About this Event
StormHacks is Western Canada’s largest 24-hour hackathon for learners and innovators of all experience levels, located at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, Canada. Participants from different backgrounds and all skill levels come together to collaborate, innovate, and create unique design, software or hardware projects from the ground up. Within just 24 hours, teams bring their ideas to life. We empower and enable teams by providing an abundance of workshops, mentors, sponsors, and hardware. StormHacks fosters creativity, learning, and teamwork in an energetic, inclusive environment. StormHacks is about building what you actually want, something that inspires you. Build something out of your comfort zone and push those boundaries. This is your moment to do what you truly love. Admission to StormHacks is completely free! We provide everyone with food for the entire event on top of the resources and mentorship hackers need to innovate. Responsibilities
- Team up with hackers of all skill levels to design and build a project from scratch.
- Engage with the hacker community, network with sponsors, and showcase your finished project during judging.
- Cook up a project idea that pushes your technical and design boundaries.
- Take advantage of workshops, mentor support, and sponsor resources throughout the hacking period.
